We wish that we had « model residents » who could just behave, do their program, be a good example to others, etc… However, most of these very troubled young men think of their stint at the House as just a breather, or mini vacation. After all, they get a nicer place to live than whatever hell hole they came from, and there’s always some halfway decent food (because of our group trips to the grocery store). On top of that, they generally aren’t around so-called friends who berate and use them all of the time. Yet us House Managers, we like to remind them that they are here to do some hard work: repairing their broken selves….
